- What are the requirements to be listed on the Advice-Only Network Advisor Directory?
You do not directly manage client investments or charge for investment management in any way. You do not have any referral relationship in place that provides you a commission or compensation for investment management with a third party. You do not receive any commissions of any kind and you do not sell any products (insurance, annuities, etc.). If you recommend such products to a client, you do not receive compensation of any kind for this. On Item 5, Part E of your ADV, boxes 1, 5, 6, and 7 cannot be checked.
- What if I don't meet the Advice-Only Network criteria?
If we find that you do not meet the Advice-Only Network criteria, you will no longer be eligible for the Advice-Only Network membership. Your membership will be canceled and any fees paid while you were not receiving the benefits of your membership will be refunded.
- I'm looking to register as a new Advice-Only advisor, what help do you provide?
That's great! We're excited to support you and look forward to having another Advice-Only advisor in the community! We have partnered with Just Compliance to provide discounted compliance consulting and support to new Advice-Only advisors. They can help you with everything from registering as an RIA to creating your compliance documents.
- Can I cancel my membership at any time?
Yes, you can cancel your membership at any time. If you cancel, you will lose access to all membership benefits, including technology discounts at the end of your billing cycle.
- What is the Advice-Only Network Advisor Directory?
The Advice-Only Network Advisor Directory is a directory of financial advisors who meet our Advice-Only criteria. It is a place for consumers to find an advisor who is truly Advice-Only.
