About Me

I am the founder of Kickstart Financial Planning LLC and the advisor you’ll partner with as you build clarity and confidence in your financial life. I bring a blend of technical expertise, real‑world leadership experience, and a long‑standing passion for personal finance.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, I spent more than 25 years in the Information Technology field, beginning as a systems administrator and eventually serving in leadership roles at a Fortune 500 corporation. Over my career, I led teams of all sizes, managed complex initiatives, and developed a reputation for thoughtful decision‑making, patient guidance, and a steady, down‑to‑earth approach to problem‑solving.

To formalize my transition into financial planning, I completed the Financial Planning Certificate Program through Boston University and am proud to serve clients as a fiduciary, advice‑only financial planner. My goal is to provide clear, objective guidance that helps clients make confident decisions aligned with their values and long‑term goals.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and connected with the people and communities that matter most to me. I’m an avid baseball fan and have the privilege of coaching my son’s baseball team, which has been a rewarding way to give back and stay present in his life. I also enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, and being involved in my church—activities that help keep me grounded and remind me what financial planning is ultimately about: supporting a full, well‑lived life.

Note: Not currently taking clients in Louisiana and Texas.

Mission Statement

I founded Kickstart Financial Planning to support early- to mid-career professionals, DIY investors, and anyone who feels they could benefit from clear, unbiased guidance. I love the moment when complex financial concepts “click” for someone and they begin to see how the right strategy can move them closer to their goals.

Why I Became an Advisor

I began managing my own finances seriously more than 20 years ago, focusing on low-cost index investing, buy-and-hold strategies, detailed budgeting, and maintaining a strong avoidance of unnecessary debt. My turning point came when I began planning for retirement and recognized just how many decision points arise throughout life — and how powerful the right decisions can be when made early. That experience sparked the desire to help others avoid common pitfalls and build a future they can feel confident about.
