About Me
I’m Igor Aronov, CFP®, founder of FAR Financial, a financial planning firm based in Brooklyn, New York, working with clients across the country.
My work focuses on helping people simplify complex financial lives so important decisions feel clearer and more manageable. Many of the people I work with are professionals, business owners, and families navigating the busy middle years of life. Careers are advancing, children are growing up, and financial responsibilities begin to intersect in more complicated ways.
At this stage, financial questions rarely appear one at a time. Housing decisions, taxes, retirement planning, education funding, insurance, and business considerations often interact with one another. My role is to help clients step back, organize the many moving pieces of their financial lives, and think through decisions with clarity and perspective.
Most clients begin with a focused financial assessment that helps identify priorities and areas where planning can make the biggest difference. From there we may move into a more comprehensive planning engagement, followed by ongoing hourly support as needed. My work often includes cash flow planning, tax strategy, retirement readiness, education planning, risk management, and guidance around business decisions.
Before becoming a financial planner, I spent more than twenty years running a business in the design and technology field. Running a business and helping launch my wife’s mental health practice gave me firsthand experience with the realities many of my clients face, including balancing career growth, family life, and long-term financial decisions.
Clients often tell me they value the thoughtful and responsive approach I bring to the relationship. My goal is simple. I help people simplify their financial lives so they can make decisions with clarity and confidence.
I live in Brooklyn with my family and our dog, Charlie. I enjoy music, both making it and listening to it, attending concerts, photography, and traveling. At some point in the future, I would love to run an educational photography program for high school students.
Mission Statement
To help people simplify complex financial lives and make thoughtful decisions by bringing clarity, structure, and independent perspective to the financial choices that shape their future.
Why I Became an Advisor
Before entering financial planning, I spent many years running a business in the design and technology field. During that time I experienced firsthand how complicated financial decisions can become while balancing career growth, family life, and long-term responsibilities.
Over time I realized that many people are capable of managing their own finances but still benefit from having a knowledgeable advisor who can help them step back, analyze their options, and think through important decisions clearly.
Financial planning offered a way to combine analytical thinking, real-world experience, and a desire to help people navigate complex decisions. Becoming a CFP® professional allowed me to bring structure and discipline to that work.
Today I see financial planning as a collaborative process that helps people simplify their financial lives and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
