About Me

I’m Didi, a first-generation immigrant from China, a proud mom, and the founder of Everleap Financial Planning™. My mission is to help people with similar backgrounds gain clarity, agency, and a renewed sense of purpose as they navigate big decisions about money, career, and family - often all at once.

I came to the U.S. at 23, carrying my family’s hopes and a “default script” of chasing stability and success. After earning my master’s degree, I spent seven years in financial services and five more in the fast-paced world of tech, climbing my way to prestigious titles and eventually earning over half a million dollars a year - achievements that once felt unimaginable.

But behind those accomplishments was a story many first-generation immigrants know well: the relentless pursuit of security, the weight of visa uncertainty, and the quiet burnout that comes from running at full speed for too long. When my daughter was born, the tension between work, identity, and family became impossible to ignore.

In 2024, I took a leap of faith - stepping away from an upward-trending tech career and a high six-figure income. Not because I had everything figured out, but because I finally had the courage to start asking better questions. That pause gave me space to reflect, recalibrate, and recognize that financial planning was where my skills, values, and purpose intersected.

In 2026, I launched my firm to help others like me - high achieving professionals building new roots in a new country while seeking a more meaningful life - use money as a tool to create freedom, clarity, and balance. To me, financial planning isn’t about chasing returns. It’s about designing a life that feels both grounded and alive.

Mission Statement

At Everleap, we focus on:

1. Listening. Before discussing strategy, we take time to understand your life’s context so every decision considers what matters most. There is no pressure to rush. Many decisions represent meaningful leaps, and they deserve care.

2. Clarifying. Our partnership offers space to reflect on your vision for a meaningful life and to speak openly about money. Through transparent conversations, we help you clarify your options, weigh tradeoffs, and move forward with intention, without the overwhelm of carrying everything alone.

3. Aligning. The result is more than a financial plan. It is clarity about the life you want to live, alignment between your resources and your priorities, and the confidence to take your next leap.

Why I Became an Advisor

I became a financial planner because I’ve lived the questions many of my clients are asking.

As a first-generation immigrant, I followed the familiar path of chasing stability and success. I built a career in financial services and later in tech, eventually reaching titles and income levels that once felt unimaginable. But beneath those achievements was the pressure many immigrants know well: visa uncertainty, the drive to prove ourselves, and the quiet burnout that can come from always pushing forward.

When my daughter was born, I began to reflect more deeply on what I actually wanted life to look like. That reflection led me to step away from a high-paying tech career and return to the financial industry, this time with a different perspective.

Today, I help immigrant professionals navigate money, career, and life decisions with greater clarity so they can build a life that truly aligns with what matters most.
