About Me
I'm a father, husband, educator & coach in small town Nebraska. I enjoy travel, the outdoors, camping & sports. As a high school science teacher, I coached four sports & mowed lawns in the summer to stay ahead between athletics, travel & kids' activities. Like many young educators, our family was living paycheck to paycheck, blindly putting money into various "investments" & hoping someday we'd have money for retirement. I had no formal financial education, little understanding of account types or investing vehicles & no goals or investing strategy. One thing I had going for me, I was debt-averse... & we always had debt. Somewhere in the messy middle, I started learning about finance & our missteps. Ok, I got obsessed. I'd go full down the rabbit hole - learning & testing strategies, increasing savings & investing, & eventually seeing significant ROI. Over time I've read & listened to dozens of finance books, consumed thousands of hours of podcasts & YouTube, & used & created several tools to streamline & automate our finances. What started as a dream of F.I.R.E. (financial independence retire early) eventually evolved into a business model around financial planning for educators. Now my goal is to help others on their financial journey.
As a science teacher, I'm a bit of a nerd. Technology, problem solving, spreadsheets, charts & graphs are kind of my thing. Plus, I have a knack for systemization & automations. After 18 years in the classroom, I decided to make a change. Currently, I'm passing legal exams to register as a financial advisor, learning how to start & run a business, & participating in an externship for real-world experience all while being able to coach, educate, empower, & financially plan... hopefully for you!

Why I Became an Advisor
I was a high school science teacher & multi-sport coach for 18 years. I continue to coach but I'm extremely passionate about finance & helping everyday people, especially educators, get on the path to financial independence through systems & automations.
